Wasserman Wins Singles Flight Title as Farnsworth Wraps

Princeton junior Jimmy Wasserman defeated Marist's Lars Schouten 6-4, 6-2 to win the B singles flight title as Princeton's Farnsworth Invitational came to a close Sunday in Jadwin Gym.
Wasserman's win came a day after he and freshman Noah Agarwal won the C doubles title Saturday. To take the singles title, Wasserman won five matches over the three-day tournament, all of them in straight sets.
"We're very pleased Jimmy was able to win five matches and earn the championship of the B flight," Princeton coach Billy Pate said. "Overall, it was a productive weekend for us. We're hoping to get everyone healthy for regionals and will now turn our attention to preparing for that event."
In the C singles final, freshman Kabir Sarita won three matches between Friday's and Saturday's play but fell to Columbia's Rian Pandole 6-4, 6-0 Sunday.
Princeton's Sunday results are below, and updated draws are available here. The Tigers will compete again beginning Oct. 18 at the ITA Northeast Regional at Yale.
