Princeton Opens Indoor Season at FastTrack Metro Opener

PRINCETON, N.J. (11/30/17) – The Princeton women's track & field team begins its indoor season this Friday, Dec. 1 at the FastTrack Season Opener at Ocean Breeze Park in Staten Island. The meet is set to begin at 3 p.m.
At this same meet last year, Princeton won six events and five Tigers posted personal bests. Maia Craver clocked a PR in the 200 to win the event in 24.83, the only sprinter to run under 25 seconds. Elisa Steele '16 PR'ed with a 25.34 to take third. Craver also put up a PR in the prelims of the 60 hurdles with an 8.75 but did not compete in the final. She left that task up to Ellie Randolph who herself who sprint a PR of 8.80 to win the final. Madison Offstein was third in the mile with a PR of 5:06.17. In the center of the track, Kennedy O'Dell threw a PR in the shot put to take second at 13.98 (45-10.5), while Julia Ratcliffe '17 won the weight throw with a toss of 18.66 (61-2.75).
The Tigers have healthy contingent registered for the middle distance events and plan to use the opportunity to finish off their fall conditioning in style with competition.
