Gregoire Named Ivy Player of the Week; NCAA Selections Monday

Vanessa Gregoire's 34th-minute goal helped deliver the Ivy League title to the Princeton women's soccer team Saturday at Penn, and for that, Gregoire is the Ivy League Player of the Week for the third time in her career.

The award is Princeton's sixth Player of the Week honor in 11 opportunities this season. Abby Givens and Courtney O'Brien were each two-time honorees, and Natalie Grossi earned one Player of the Week honor. Gregoire was previously named Player of the Week on Aug. 31, 2015 and Oct. 12, 2015 after being named Rookie of the Week on Sept. 29, 2014.

Gregoire, a senior midfielder who is a three-time All-Ivy League honoree, has scored a goal in each of the last three games to help Princeton rally past Columbia for the outright Ivy League title. Gregoire and the Tigers were ranked No. 13 in the United Soccer Coaches poll last week and are No. 6 by Top Drawer Soccer this week, the only ranking to be released this week prior to the 4:30 p.m. ET Monday NCAA tournament selections on NCAA.com.
