Princeton is third in the Ivy League with a 2-2-2 record and is unbeaten in its last six games, an incredible turn around for the squad that started the season 0-3-2. The Tigers went 2-0 this past week with wins over Drexel and Penn. Both game-winning goals were scored by sophomore defender Bobby Hickson, who was named the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week. Hickson's five point week now positions him second on the team in scoring behind junior Jeremy Colvin. Colvin has 13 points on five goals and three assists. The Ivy League Rookie of the Week Gaby Paniagua along with freshman Kevin O'Toole and seniors Daniel Bowkett and James Reiner all have four points apiece. Sophomore Jacob Schachner owns a 0.92 goals against average and a .795 save percentage to go with four shutouts.
Yale is 4-9-2 overall and with a 1-3-2 record in the Ivy League, the Bulldogs are tied for sixth in the league standings. Yale is winless in its last four, with a 1-0 victory over Cornell on Oct. 14 being its last win. Junior Kyle Kenagy has a team-leading three assists and two goals to have a combined seven points. Freshman Aldo Quevedo has five points on two goals and one assist. Four other players, John Leismna, Cameron Riach, Mark Winhoffer and Miguel Yuste, have four points. The Bulldogs have used three goalkeepers this season with junior Kees Schipper starting in eight of 15 games. Schipper is 3-5 with a 1.13 GAA and a .625 save percentage. Freshman Tom Wallenstein has played in five games and has a 1.69 GAA and a .471 save percentage to go with a 1-3-1 record.
Yale holds a three-game lead in the 104-year series history, 43-40-23. The Tigers are undefeated in the last five meetings, including a 1-1 tie last year in New Haven coming off of four straight wins, three by way of shutout. Last year at Reese Stadium Nicky Downs put the Bulldogs on the board in the 16th minute before Bryan Prudil net the equalizer in the 24th. Shots on goal were 9-3 in favor of Princeton.
