Alarie Picked As Ivy League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the second time this season and the fifth time in her career, Bella Alarie was picked as the Ivy League Player of the Week.
The sophomore has earned 14 weekly Ivy honors. Last season, she tied the program record with nine Rookie of the Week accolades along with three Player of the Week awards.
Alarie was sparkling against St. Joe's, a WNIT team last year, in the first game of the Gator Holiday Classic last Wednesday. She registered 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting (61.5 percent) along with nine rebounds, one block and a steal. It was the fourth time this season that Alarie had scored 20+ points.
Against Chattanooga last Thursday, a 2017 NCAA Tournament team, the Bethesda, Md., native registered 16 points, 12 rebounds, in collecting her 13th career double-double. Eight of her 12 boards were offensive. Alarie was picked as the Gator Holiday Classic MVP and named to the All-Tournament team along with her teammate, Leslie Robinson.
Princeton welcomes the UMBC Retrievers to Jadwin Gym on Dec. 30. The contest is scheduled for 4 p.m. and will be streamed on the Ivy League Network.
