Tall's 20-10 Game Paces Women's Basketball Over Penn, 67-53

PHILADELPHIA – Fadima Tall registered 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Princeton Women's Basketball Team wrapped up the regular season with a 67-53 victory over the Penn Quakers at the Palestra on Saturday afternoon.
In front by two, Princeton ripped off eight straight to go up 14-4 halfway through the first quarter. Head coach Carla Berube's squad ran off 11 of 15 to go up 17 before taking a 25-10 lead into the second frame. The Tigers shot 11-of-18 from the floor (61.1 percent) during that stretch.
Penn outscored Princeton, 12-8, in the second stanza, but still trailed 33-22 at the break. The road squad led by as many as 14 in the third quarter but held a 50-40 advantage with 10 minutes to go.
Berube's unit used a 10-4 push to extend its lead to 16, 65-49, with 3:31 left to put the game away.
Tall put up the third 20-10 game of the season for Princeton (Madison St. Rose and Parker Hill). Previously, the team had not had one since the 2021-22 season (Julia Cunningham).
Skye Belker added 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting, along with five rebounds and five dimes. Tall contributed four steals and two assists while Katie Thiers had a career-high nine points with five rebounds in the victory.
Princeton finishes the regular season at 21-6 overall and 12-2 in the Ivy League while Penn dropped to 15-12 this season and 6-8 in conference action.
The Tigers will be the No. 2 seed in next week's Ivy League Tournament against No. 3 seeded Harvard on Friday at 7:30 p.m. No. 1 seeded Columbia will battle likely Penn at 4:30 p.m. The Ivy Tournament Championship game will be Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
