March 01, 2025 | Women's Basketball
HANOVER – Skye Belker's career-high 25 points was the difference as the Princeton Women's Basketball Team fought off a pesky Dartmouth Big Green, 67-55, at Leede Arena.
Trailing by one at halftime, the Tigers ripped off 11 of 12 to jump in front, 42-34, with 6:26 to go in the third quarter. Head coach Carla Berube's squad maintain its lead, 46-41, as the frame ended. Belker registered seven of her 25 points during that stretch.
Princeton kept Dartmouth at bay in the fourth stanza before Ashley Chea's trey at the 4:20 mark extended its advantage, 57-46.
A Zeynep Ozel three-pointer gave Dartmouth the lead as the first quarter came to close, 21-18. The Big Green began the second frame with eight of 10, forcing a Berube timeout. The Tigers righted the ship and trailed by just one at halftime, 32-31.
Belker went 9-of-15 from the floor, adding three rebounds, three assists and a steal while Fadima Tall contributed 12 points, eight rebounds and two steals in the win.
Princeton reached the 20-win mark for the seventh straight season, improving to 20-6 overall and 11-2 in the Ivy League. With the win, the Tigers clinched the No. 2 seed in the Ivy League Tournament. Dartmouth falls to 8-18 and 2-11 in the conference.
