Five Score In Double Figures As Women's Basketball Drops Harvard, 70-58

CAMBRIDGE – The Princeton Women's Basketball Team had five players score in double figures in a 70-58 takedown of the Harvard Crimson at the Lavietes Pavilion on Friday evening.
Parker Hill led the Tigers with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting, adding five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Skye Belker (14), Fadima Tall (14), Ashley Chea (12) and Olivia Hutcherson (10) made it five players in double digits for Princeton for the first time since January of 2023 at Dartmouth.
After Harvard scored the first basket of the contest, Princeton ripped off 13 of 15, forcing a home team timeout. The Tigers shot 9-of-13 in the first quarter (69.2 percent) and held a 22-16 lead after 10 minutes.
Back-to-back threes from Tall extended the Tigers' lead to 10, 30-20, with 6:25 to go in the first half. Princeton led by as many as 13 in the second quarter before taking a 40-29 advantage at the break. The Tigers went 16-of-23 (69.6 percent) in the first 20 minutes of action.
The road squad held a double-digit lead in the third frame, holding a 53-40 lead into the final quarter.
Trailing by 15, 57-42, Harvard made a push, registering seven of eight points to get within single digits, 58-49, with 5:41 left.
The Crimson remained with striking distance as Harmoni Turner hit a trey to make it a six-point deficit, 60-54, with 3:09 to go, but Princeton broke the press and Hill scored on the break on the next possession.
The Crimson never got closer the rest of the way.
Hutcherson did not miss an attempt, tying her career high with 10 points, adding seven rebounds. Chea matched her personal best with seven dimes while contributing seven caroms in the win.
Turner had 15 points to pace Harvard in the loss.
Princeton is now 19-6 overall and 10-2 in the Ivy League while Harvard falls to 20-4 and 9-3 in the conference. The Tigers finish the weekend at Dartmouth Saturday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
