Princeton Off To Best Start Since 2014, Takes Down George Washington, 14-4

Lewisburg, Pa. – The No. 11 Princeton Tigers used another fast start as it defeated the George Washington Colonials, 14-4, on Sunday morning at the Kinney Natatorium.
Princeton improved to 6-0 on the season, their best start since 2014. The Tigers will now take some time off before welcoming No. 21 Harvard to DeNunzio Pool for an ESPNU contest on Feb. 25 (10:30 a.m.).
Morgan Hallock, Chelsea Johnson and Amy Castellano each posted a hat trick while Haley Wan had a multi-goal game. Sydney Cheong and Lindsey Kelleher added three helpers each. Ashleigh Johnson stopped 11 shots in just three quarters and allowed just one goal.
The Tigers scored six times in the first quarter while Colonials were held to just one tally. Ashleigh Johnson posted a shutout over the next 16 minutes of game action as Princeton registered four goals during that stretch to take a commanding 12-1 lead after three frames. Freshman Kasey Bersh completed the fourth quarter for Johnson.
