Six Tigers Named All-Ivy League in Women's Hockey

PRINCETON, N.J. (2/24/16) - Six member of the No. 8 ranked Princeton women's ice hockey team were named All-Ivy League it was announced by the league office this afternoon.
Sophomore Karlie Lund, senior Kelsey Koelzer and freshman Steph Neatby were named to the first team, senior Cassidy Tucker took second-team honors while freshman Carly Bullock and sophomore Stephanie Sucharda captured honorable mention.
Lund ranks eighth in the nation in scoring with 21 goals and 21 assists for 42 points, averaging 1.45 goals per game. With 21 goals in 29 games, she averages the second-most goals per game in the country. She led the Ivy League in both points and goals with 13 points and eight goals in 10 games. Lund net four game-winning goals this season and assisted on five game winners. She had a hat trick against No. 5 Colgate and went on an 18-game point streak during the season. A unanimous first-team selection, Lund has a +31 on-ice rating and has won 55.3 percent of her faceoffs as a center. Princeton is 14-2-1 when its leading scorer Lund nets a goal.
Koelzer, who was announced as a Patty Kazmaier top-10 finalist yesterday, is second in the nation in scoring by a defender. She has seven goals and 21 assists for 28 points. Her 21 assists rank her 15th in the nation, while she is 35th overall in points per game by any skater. This season she has recorded 52 blocks and has a +17 on-ice rating. She tallied her second career hattrick this year, along with two game-winning goals, and a short-handed goal playing on both special teams.
The only freshman on the first team, Neatby started Princeton on its 11-game unbeaten streak in late November. She ranks second nationally in save percentage at .949 and is third in the nation in goals against average with a 1.47 GAA. She has totaled 413 saves while allowing 22 goals in 15 games played. A unanimous first-team selection, Neatby has posted three shutouts this season and has a 10-3-1 record. She has made 30+ saves in six games with a season-high 40 in a 4-2 win over No. 3 St. Lawrence on Feb. 12.
Tucker earns her first All-Ivy League honor as the team's fifth leading scorer. She has scored 12 goals and 12 assists for 24 points this season. Tucker converted on both penalty shots this season and scored the game winner versus Mercyhurst during the Tigers' 11-game unbeaten streak. She has a +14 on-ice rating and has taken 86 shots on goal.
Bullock ranks fifth in the nation in points per game tallied by a freshman with 28 points on 19 goals and nine assists - the best in the Ivy League. She is eighth in the nation in goals per game, 35th in points per game amongst all skaters, fourth in power-play goals with six, seven in the country in game-winning goals with five. The Tigers are 10-2 when Bullock scores a goal, as she heads into the playoffs with a +23 on-ice rating.
Sucharda is named an honorable mention selection for the second straight season. She has collected 12 assists from the blue line, three of which were on game-winning goals. She net two assists in a 4-0 shutout of Brown and tie with Penn State. With a +7 on-ice rating, Sucharda has helped the Tigers to a 7-1-2 record when she has a point or more.
As the No. 4 seed in the ECAC Hockey Tournament, the Tigers host No. 5 seed Quinnipiac in a best-of-three ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal series this weekend at Hobey Baker Rink. It is the only playoff series that features two nationally-ranked squads.
