Old Dominion Registers 7-1 Victory Over Princeton

NORFOLK, Va. – Much like last night, the Old Dominion Monarchs used a big inning to drop the Princeton Tigers, 7-1, at Bud Metheny Complex on Wednesday afternoon.
Nick Hernandez, Asher Lee-Tyson and David Harding each had two hits for Princeton. Eric Rojas made his collegiate debut, throwing two relief frames. Hernandez has now hit in four straight games, raising his batting average 42 points during that stretch.
The first eight batters of the second frame reached base for the Monarchs, leading to five runs. Old Dominion added runs in the third and sixth innings. Hernandez had a two-out RBI single in the eighth stanza.
Six different Monarchs had hits in the game while Jake Josephs went five scoreless innings to pick up the victory.
Princeton drops to 2-11 on the season while Old Dominion improves to 17-4. The Tigers will travel to Navy this weekend for a four-game set beginning Friday at 3 p.m.
