Princeton Back In Top 10, Battles No. 16 Long Beach State and No. 1 USC Next

Game Notes vs. No. 1 USC
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers, with a 14-1 record, improved into a tie in the 10th position in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Varsity Poll.
Over the week, the Tigers earned a split during day one of the Roadrunner Invitational, defeating No. 12 San Diego State, 5-4, and losing to the No. 6 Arizona State, 7-6, on Mar. 18. Princeton's 12 wins to open the season was the third best start in program history (2012, 2014).
The Tigers finished up the Roadrunner Invitational with two victories, a 7-3 decision over No. 22 CSU Bakersfield and an 11-8 result over Cal State East Bay. On Tuesday, Haley Wan scored a career-high five goals as the No. 11 Princeton Tigers defeated the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, 11-6, at the Haldeman Pool.
USC, the Tigers' opponent on Thursday, is still the No. 1 team in the country. Stanford is the No. 2 squad with UCLA, Cal., and Cal-Irvine rounding out the top five.
Princeton will take on No. 15 Long Beach State tonight (10 p.m./7:00 p.m. PT) before a matchup vs. No. 1 USC on the PAC-12 Network (8 p.m./5 p.m. PT). Game notes are linked at the top of the page.
