No. 10 Tigers Continues CWPA Play At Bucknell This Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 10 Princeton Tigers gets into the heart of their conference schedule as they take on three Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) opponents this weekend at Bucknell.
Princeton will take on the Saint Francis Red Flashes (11 a.m.) and Bucknell Bison (7 p.m.) on Saturday (Apr. 1) before a monster matchup against the reigning CWPA champion, No. 7 Michigan Wolverines (10:30 a.m.) on Sunday.
Head coach Luis Nicolao's team has never lost to Saint Francis in three matchups all-time. The two squads last faced off in 2015, a game Princeton won 15-5. This is the Red Flashes' first season in the CWPA.
The Tigers are 39-8 overall all-time vs. Bucknell. The Bisons took a close 10-9 decision last season, but prior to that Princeton won nine consecutive games. In the four career games vs. Bucknell, Ashleigh Johnson has allowed just 11 goals. The game vs. Bucknell on Saturday night will be streamed online.
Princeton is 8-18 in program history vs. No. 7 Michigan. The Wolverines took the two meetings by a combined three goals including a 9-8 victory in the CWPA Semifinals. The Tigers won the previous three matchups from 2013-15.
Currently on an impressive streak of six consecutive hat tricks, Haley Wan leads the Tigers with 41 tallies this season. Five other Tigers have scored over 10+ goals while Lindsey Kelleher's 23 assists lead the team. Eliza Britt has posted a sparkling all-around game this season with 17 goals, 21 assists, 17 steals and 12 drawn ejections and 12 sprint wins. Ashleigh Johnson is 15-2 this season with 209 saves and a .746 save percentage in net.
