Tigers No. 9 In CWPA Varsity Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – In the last poll before the conference championships, the Princeton Tigers were selected as the No. 9 team in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Varsity Poll.
The Tigers did not play last week. In its most recent contest on Apr. 14, a 16-6 victory over the George Washington Colonials. t was the last home game for the Class of 2017. The group of Ashleigh Johnson, Hannah Lapkin, Morgan Hallock and Sydney Saxe have won 131 games, posted an .851 winning percentage and have won two Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) titles.
Lindsey Kelleher recorded a career-high five goals while Haley Wan registered her 12th hat trick in the last 13 games. With her four goals, Wan now sits with 63, 12th most in a single-season in program history. Ashleigh Johnson made seven saves in 16 minutes of work.
The Varsity Poll's top ten remained the same from the previous week as UCLA sits as the top squad. Stanford, USC, Arizona State, Calif., Cal-Irvine, Michigan, Hawaii and University of Pacific follow. Michigan, at No. 7, is the top team in the CWPA.
Princeton will be the No. 2 seed in the CWPA Championship (Apr. 28-30) hosted by Indiana and take on the No. 7 seed Bucknell on Apr. 28 at 1:30 p.m.
