Tigers Have Five Selected To USA Field Hockey's U-21 Junior and Development Camps

LANCASTER, Pa. – After the USA Field Hockey's Young Women's National Championship wrapped up play today, five players have been named to the U-21 junior and development camps.

Maddie Bacskai, Elise Wong and Sophia Tornetta were all named to U-21 junior national camp. Cat Caro and Ryan McCarthy were picked for the development squad national camp.

For the Tigers in 2016, Bacskai added two goals and three assists while Wong had seven helpers this season. Tornetta's 2016 season wrapped up with nine goals and 10 assists in 13 contests. Caro, a first team All-America, had a fabulous year with a personal-high 18 goals and 47 points. McCarthy had a breakout campaign, leading to her being selected to National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) Mid-Atlantic All-Region first team.

The 2017 U- 21 Junior and Development Squad National Camp will take place from June 17-20, 2017 at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa.
