Rookie Schrage Tops Ranked Foe on Second Day at ITA HOF Grass Court

A day after senior teammate Katrine Steffensen defeated the ITA's fourth-ranked player in the country, freshman Stephanie Schrage picked up her own a win over a ranked opponent, defeating LSU's 64th-ranked Ryann Foster 6-1, 3-6, (10-5), at the ITA Hall of Fame Grass Court tournament in Newport, R.I.
Foster received the ranking when the ITA announced its preseason lists Sept. 12. Those rankings will stay in place until the next edition on Jan. 3.
Schrage then teamed with junior Nicole Kalhorn to beat Foster and Jessica Golovin, 8-5, in doubles play.
Sunday's final day of play will start at 10 a.m. The order of play can be found here.
