After Double Medal Performance In 2017, Women's Lightweights Welcomes Impressive Trio
October 16, 2018 | Women's Rowing - Lightweight
With the fall racing season set to begin this weekend, GoPrincetonTigers.com will welcome the newest members of the Princeton boathouse over the next two weeks. First up are the lightweight women, who have recharged their program over the last two years with back-to-back medals at both the Eastern Sprints and IRA National Championships.
Last year, Princeton won silver at the Sprints, the best finish for the Tigers since their golden effort in 2011. They followed that up with an impressive row down Mercer Lake, which earned Princeton a second straight bronze medal at the IRA Championships. Head coach Paul Rassam had several talented underclassmen in the varsity boat, but he also knew he would need to replace some dependable seniors moving forward.
He's hopeful that the Class of 2022 will play an important role in that. Rassam welcomed Camille Boylan, Daisy DeVore and Kate Reynolds to Princeton this year after that trio posted impressive rowing careers in high school. Here is a closer look at all three rowers.
