SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Colgate is 2-6-1 on the season and winless in league play at 0-1-1. After sweeping UNH in a series to open the season, the Raiders have gone 0-6-1. Junior Bobby McMann leads the offense with five points on three goals and two assists. Senior Adam Dauda has four points on one goal and a team-best three assists. The duo led the Raiders in scoring in 2017-18 as well. Overall Colgate's scoring offense rates 1.11 and second to last in the nation. With goaltender Colton Point turning pro this summer, Colgate has had to rely on two freshmen netminders. Mitch Benson has started in eight games and has a .919 save percentage and a 2.59 GAA. Andrew Farrier has played in two games and has an .854 save percentage and a 5.26 GAA. Both special teams are in the bottom 10 in the nation - power play (11.8%)
penalty kill (75.9%).
THE PRINCETON/COLGATE SERIES
Colgate holds a 57-48-8 advantage in the all-time series since it began in 1935. Princeton has not beaten Colgate in the regular season since Feb. 8, 2013. Last year the teams played to a scoreless draw at Hobey Baker Rink in November and then Colgate earned a 4-0 win at home in January. Max Veronneau has the best stats against the Raiders with six points in eight games.
SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Cornell enters the weekend with a 4-2 record and ranked No. 17 in the national poll. The Big Red are unbeaten in league play at 2-0. Offensively the squad is led by senior Mitch Vanderlaaan, who has seven assists. Sophomore Morgan Barron (NYR) and junior defender Yanni Kaldis have six points apiece with Baron putting up a team-high four goals. Sophomore Matthew Galajda has started in all six games and has a .880 save percentage and a 2.71 GAA. Cornell's power play converts 20 percent of the time, while the penalty kill is in the bottom five in the nation at 70.8 percent.
THE PRINCETON/CORNELL SERIES
