November 15, 2018 | Women's Volleyball
Juniors Maggie O'Connell and Devon Peterkin both earned 2018 first-team All-Ivy League honors, and they led a cast of five Tigers who earned postseason honors after posting a 12-2 mark in Ivy play.
O'Connell, the 2017 Ivy League Player of the Year, posted the highest hitting percentage in league play (.432), and she ranked third in the league in kills per set (3.60). She was named the Ivy League Player of the Week after a 21-kill effort in Princeton's 3-1 home win over Yale early in the season. Peterkin, a three-time Ivy League Player of the Week this season, ranked 10th in the league in kills and 11th in digs to become one of the league's most versatile players.
Junior Jessie Harris and sophomore Clare Lenihan both earned second-team All-Ivy honors. This is Harris' third appearance on the All-Ivy team, and it came in a season when she led the Ivy League with 12.24 digs in conference play, nearly 1.25 digs more than Player of the Year Frances Arnautou of Yale. Harris also helped Princeton lead the Ivy League in kills and hitting percentage. Lenihan, in her first year as a starting middle, played a big part in the hitting efficiency; she ranked second in the league with a .412 percentage, and she ranked inside the Top 10 in kills per set.
