Cressey Scores Twice as No. 19 Princeton Falls to No. 9 Quinnipiac

Sophomore Jackson Cressey scored twice but it wasn't enough as No. 19 Princeton fell 6-3 to No. 9 Quinnipiac in the second game of the two-game set at Hobey Baker Rink on Saturday night.
The Bobcats took the lead in the second and held a one-goal lead at the second intermission, 4-3, before taking on two goals in the third.
Cressey hit the back door on a cross crease pass from senior Josh Teves to put Princeton (3-6-1, 3-4-1) on the board first at 17:58 of the first.

Quinnipiac (13-2, 6-2) took advantage of a power-play opportunity late in the first and was able to score just as the penalty expired at 1:29 of the second.
Ryan Kuffner was quick to respond with his eighth tally of the season with Max Veronneau and Derek Topatigh earning the assists.

The Bobcats scored two goals in a span of 35 seconds to take a 3-2 lead at 7:17 of the second. Chase Priskie expanded the advantage with a goal right off a face off during a 4-on-4.
Cressey net his second goal of a redirection of a Veronneau chance with Kuffner earning the second assist as the Tigers made it a one-goal game, 4-3 with the power-play marker at 17:28 of the second.

Priskie and Martin both scored their second goals of the night in the third.
Keith Petruzzelli made 27 saves in net for Quinnipiac who went 2 for 4 on the power play.
Sophomore Ryan Ferland made 28 saves for the Tigers, who were 1 for 7 on the power play.
Princeton hosts Arizona State in a pair of games next weekend, Dec. 7 & 8 at Hobey Baker Rink.
