EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton looks to snap a five-game winless skid as the team receives votes in the national poll with a 3-6-1 overall record. The Tigers' offense is led by senior Ryan Kuffner who has 16 points in eight games and ranks fifth nationally. He is second int he nation in goals per game with eight goals in 10 games. Linemmate Max Veronneau adds 13 points in 10 games and is 15th in points per game nationally. Junior Jackson Cressey and senior Josh Teves chip in nine points apiece and senior Alex Riche has eight. Sophomore Ryan Ferland has a .909 save percentage and a 2.96 goals against average in 10 games.
SCOUTING THE SUN DEVILS
Arizona State is in their fourth year of varsity hockey and are ranked No. 19 in the nation with a 10-6 record. The Sun Devils split a series at Penn State and Harvard - both common opponents of Princeton. Most recently they dropped a pair at Omaha. Johnny Walker leads the offense with 18 points in 16 games, scoring 12 times and adding six assists. Junior Tyler Busch has 12 points, while defenseman Brinson Pasichnuk and senior Anthony Croston contribute 11 apiece. Overall the team averages 3.38 goals per game (13th) and allows 2.62 (24th). Junior Joey Daccord (OTT) has played every minute in goal and has a .919 save percentage and a 2.45 GAA. The Sun Devils have the second most penalty minutes in the nation but have the ninth best penalty kill at 86.5 percent (64/74). The power play is middle of the road at 18.4 percent (14/76).
THE PRINCETON/ARIZONA STATE SERIES
These teams met for the first time last year in Tempe. Princeton took a 4-0 game in Game 1 and lost 4-3 in overtime in Game 2. Alex Riche has the best numbers against ASU with five points and a +6 on-ice rating. Ryan Ferland was in the goal fo the win, stopping all 20 shots he faced.
