No. 25 Princeton Continues Big Ten Run, Beats Indiana
February 25, 2018 | Women's Tennis
Princeton improved to 9-1 with the win, while the loss was just Indiana's third. The Hoosiers, who had previously only lost to Notre Dame and Tennessee, were coming off a 6-1 win over Cornell in a two-match Ivy League trip.
Princeton began the day with a doubles-point win after Clare McKee and Katrine Steffensen settled it following a Tiger win on court one, courtesy of Nicole Kalhorn and Stephanie Schrage, and an Indiana win in court two. McKee, Steffensen and Kalhorn then added straight-set singles wins on three of the top four courts to clinch the match, and 108th-ranked Stephanie Schrage made it 5-0 with a three-setter on court two before Indiana won on the final two courts.
The Tigers will be back in action Friday at 3 p.m. against Maryland before a 10 a.m. match Saturday against Penn State, both in Jadwin.
