No. 20 Princeton Drops Two At Arizona State Challenge

TEMPE, Ariz. – The No. 20 Princeton Tigers continued a tough schedule at the Arizona State Challenge, dropping contests vs. the No. 16 UC-San Diego Tritons (6-4) and the No. 21 Loyola Marymount Lions (10-2).
The Highlights:
The Tritons scored with one second left in the first quarter to take a 2-1 lead.
UC-San Diego went on a 3-0 spurt to take a 5-2 advantage into the third frame.
Lindsey Kelleher recorded two goals for Princeton in the loss.

A tightly-defensive first quarter saw UC-San Diego take a 2-1 advantage as Grace Pevehouse scored just before the clock expired. The Tritons posted the next two goals of the second stanza to take a 4-2 advantage into the break. Princeton got within two (5-3) with 4:30 remaining in the third quarter, but was held off the scoreboard until there was under a minute to go, falling by a 6-4 score.
