TEMPE, Ariz. – The No. 20 Princeton Tigers fell in their final game of the Arizona State Challenge to the No. 6 Hawaii Warriors, 12-5, at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.
The Highlights:
Amy Castellano led Princeton with two goals.
In front by three goals, Hawaii used a six-goal outburst in the third quarter to put the game away.
Recap:
The Warriors opened up the contest with five straight goals before Haley Wan broke the run at the 6:10 mark of the second quarter. Castellano's first tally of the game got Princeton within three, 5-2, at the break. The Warriors posted six consecutive goals in the third quarter to take an 11-2 advantage into the final frame. Princeton registered three goals in the fourth stanza with Maddie Pendolino posting her first career tally.
The Tigers will take a week off before hosting the Princeton Invitational (Feb. 16-18). Princeton will battle the Chinese National Team on Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
