The LSU Tiger Golf Classic will welcome the Princeton women's golf team this weekend in the Tigers' second of four tournaments before the program defends its title at the Ivy League Championships in late April.
Princeton competed at the Florida State Match-Up more than a month ago in Tallahassee, but the wait after the LSU tournament won't be long. Princeton recently added a match-play event set for March 31 and April 1 at Fox Hollow in Branchburg, N.J., followed by the Harvard Invitational the next weekend in Florida.
For this weekend's tournament, the University Club in Baton Rouge, La., will play 6,247 yards with a par of 72. Play will begin at 8:30 a.m. local time (9:30 a.m. ET) Friday through Sunday with one round each day. The first two days will start from the first and 10th tees with 8:30 a.m. local time as the first tee time, and Sunday will have an 8:30 a.m. local-time shotgun start.
The field will be a challenging one, with nine of the 12-team field in Golfweek's top 100 as of March 12, led by No. 22 Virginia and followed by No. 27 Houston, No. 38 North Carolina State and No. 48 SMU in the top 50.
