Penn to Visit Saturday as Ivy League Play Opens

Ivy League play will begin Saturday for the 46th-ranked Princeton women's tennis team when Penn visits for a 1 p.m. match at the Lenz Tennis Center, or at Jadwin Gym in the event of inclement weather. Twitter updates will be available @PrincetonTennis.
The Tigers enter at 12-3 following their three-match spring break trip to Texas. Penn stands 7-8 after home wins over Temple and St. John's the last two weekends. Both Princeton and Penn have faced Harvard (both won), Brown (Princeton won, Penn lost), Xavier (Princeton won, Penn lost) and Temple (both won) this season.
Princeton holds a nine-match win streak in the series against Penn, with the Quakers' last win over the Tigers coming in 2008 in Princeton. The Tigers are 46-16 all-time against Penn.
Princeton counts two ITA-ranked singles players entering the match in senior Katrine Steffensen at No. 121 and rookie Stephanie Schrage at No. 123. Junior Nicole Kalhorn and Schrage are ranked 79th as a doubles pair.
Following the Penn match, Princeton will split its weekend with a trip to Cornell next Friday and a visit from Columbia next Sunday.
