Middle Distance Gets National Taste at Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (3/30/18) - The Princeton women's middle distance crew returned to Florida to compete at the 2018 Pepsi Florida Relays today.
Junior Alie Fordyce had the fastest time for the Tigers in the 1500, finishing 14th overall at 4:26.72. Junior Madison Offstein was right behind at 4:27.54 and freshman Sophie Cantine at 4:28.07. Sophomore Madeleine Sumner also finished in the top 25 with a time of 4:32.68.
In the steeplechase, juniors Allie Klimkiewicz and Brighie Leach went 6-7 with Klimkiewicz clocking a PR of 10:33.84 while Leach ran 10:36.10.
Junior Anna Jurew clocked a 2:09.67 in her first 800 race of the season.
Princeton hosts its first meet of the season, the Sam Howell Invitational, next weekend, April 6-7 at Weaver Stadium.
