Charlie Minns Joins Colten Young, Sine Scribbick At NCAA Diving Championships
March 07, 2018 | Men's Swimming and Diving
Sophomore Charlie Minns became the third Princeton diver to qualify for the NCAA Championships this week, as he posted a runner-up finish in the platform final at the Zone A Diving Championships. His score of 707.30 was enough to secure a spot at the 2018 Championships, which will be held March 21-24 at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Minns will join freshman teammate Colten Young in Minneapolis, as Young clinched his spot Tuesday during the 3-meter competition. Since Minns and Young both achieved B cuts in each event during the Zone Championships, they will be eligible to compete in all three diving events at the NCAA Championships.
Scribbick also qualified Tuesday during the three-meter championships, and she will make her NCAA Championships debut the week of March 14-17 at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio.
