Princeton Climbs To No. 10 In CWPA Varsity Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – After finishing the regular season perfect in Collegiate Water Polo Association play, the Princeton Tigers are No. 10 in today's Varsity Poll, the conference announced today.
Princeton is 21-7 this season and currently on an eight-game winning streak. The Tigers were undefeated at DeNunzio Pool and have not lost there since Apr. 17, 2015.
Haley Wan leads the Tigers in scoring with 66 goals and 105 points along with a team-best 53 steals. Lindsey Kelleher is second on the squad with 93 points (51 goals, 42 assists). The junior has drawn 38 ejections and snagged 36 steals as well. Chelsea Johnson (46) and Amy Castellano (41) have also threw at least 40 goals into the back of the next. Castellano has 55 sprint wins and 50 steals as well. Marissa Webb has had an impressive freshman campaign as the team's top goalie, going 20-7 with 266 saves and a .555 save percentage.
USC jumped to the top spot in the Varsity Poll, followed by Stanford, California, UCLA and Hawaii. With its No. 10 spot, Princeton jumped in front of Michigan, who fell to No. 11.
Princeton will be the No. 1 seed in the CWPA Tournament (Apr. 27-29) and take on the winner of the Harvard and Saint Francis matchup on Apr. 27 at 6 p.m.
