Eye on the Tigers
No. 18 Princeton is coming off of a dominating 21-8 decision over No. 10 Penn from Wednesday, pushing the Tigers into a three-way first-place tie with the Quakers and Dartmouth in the Ivy League standings. At 9-5, Princeton's offense is led by freshman Kyla Sears. She is the all-time freshman scorer in Princeton history, surpassing Cristi Samara's 59 points from 1995, on Wednesday and now has 63 points with 47 goals and 16 assists. Sophomore Tess D'Orsi and junior Elizabeth George both have 26 goals and more than 30 points apiece, while junior Kathryn Hallett and senior Ellie McNulty have 28 and 27 points respectively. Freshman Marge Donovan and McNulty are the team leaders in draws with 58 and 52, ranking 2-3 in the records book in draws in a single season. Donovan also has a team-high 26 ground balls and the second-most caused turnovers with 10. Freshman Sam Fish is 6-3 in goal with a .520 save percentage and a 9.99 goals against average.
Post-Season Scenarios
Princeton will host the Ivy League Tournament with a win over Columbia if Penn and Dartmouth both win or lose this weekend. If Penn loses and Dartmouth wins then Dartmouth would be the tournament host due to both teams being 6-1 and the Big Green having the head-to-head. If Penn wins and Princeton loses then Penn would host due to both teams being 6-1 and the Quakers having the head-to-head. Dartmouth plays Brown at noon and Penn plays Yale at 4 p.m.
The Series
