No. 10 Princeton Advances to CWPA Semifinals With 12-4 Victory over No. 23 Harvard

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The No. 10 Princeton Tigers advanced to the semifinals of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championship with a 12-4 victory over the No. 23 Harvard Crimson at Kinney Natatorium on Friday evening.
With the win, the Tigers will take on the No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday (Apr. 28) at 4:30 p.m. Princeton defeated Indiana on Apr. 7, 10-8.
Highlights:
Lindsey Kelleher and Chelsea Johnson scored three goals each.
Marissa Webb stopped 11 shots.
Princeton allowed just one goal after the first quarter and ran away with the victory.

Harvard registered the first two goals of the game before Princeton ran off three of the next four to tie the game at 3-all after eight minutes. The Tigers snagged the next three tallies, taking a 6-3 advantage into the intermission. Harvard finally got on the board with 2:41 left in the third quarter, going a stretch of 14 minutes without goal. Princeton had an 8-4 lead as the fourth quarter got underway. The Tigers' defense pitched a shutout in the final eight minutes while scoring four more times in a decisive win.
