No. 10 Princeton Moves On To CWPA Championship Game With Overtime Win Over No. 14 Indiana

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The No. 10 Princeton Tigers advanced to the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championship Game for the second straight season with a 10-8 decision over the No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers at Kinney Natatorium on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Tigers will play the No. 10 Michigan Wolverines in the championship game on Sunday (Apr. 28) at 1:30 p.m. Princeton ended the Wolverines' 20-game winning streak earlier this season with an 8-7 double overtime victory. Michigan dropped the Tigers, 5-4, in the CWPA Championship Game last season.
Highlights:
Lindsey Kelleher's goal with 2:45 left in overtime gave Princeton the victory.
Eliza Britt's tally with 38 seconds remaining in the extra session put the game away.
Haley Wan scored four times for the Tigers.

The Tigers were held off the scoreboard for the first 8:56 of game action as Indiana registered the first two goals. Princeton went into the intermission down by two, 3-1.
Princeton's offense came out on fire in the second half, ripping off four tallies, including three straight to end the third quarter. Wan's goal with one minute to go in the quarter put the Tigers in front for the first time, 5-4.
Tied at six-all, neither team could find another goal over the last 2:53 of regulation, leading to overtime. In the first portion, Chelsea Johnson put the Tigers ahead, 7-6, but Indiana jumped back into the lead with two consecutive goals. Amy Castellano retied the CWPA meeting for the fifth time right before the end of the first half of the extra session.
Kelleher's game-winner came 15 seconds into the second part of the overtime. Britt sealed the game with a tally as the clock ticked under 40 seconds.
