Princeton Hosting Spring Events at Bedford This Month

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers will have three spring tune-ups at Bedford Field in the month of April. Admission is free and open to the public.
On Saturday (Apr. 7), St. Joseph's will make the drive north from Philadelphia to take on Princeton at 10 a.m. The Hawks went 18-4 last season, winning the Atlantic-10 conference. The team fell in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to North Carolina.
The following week (Apr. 15), the Tigers take on the Penn State Nittany Lions (12 p.m.). The Lions advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals last season, losing to the eventual national champion Connecticut Huskies.
The spring season wraps up for the Tigers vs. Delaware on Apr. 21 (10 a.m.). The Blue Hens won the Colonial Athletic Association conference title, falling in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Penn State.
The Tigers finished 2018 with a 12-7 record, reaching the NCAA Quarterfinals. It was the second straight season that Princeton won at least 12 games and at least one NCAA Tournament game. Head coach Carla Tagliente's squad won the outright Ivy League championship, its 25th all-time. The last time that Princeton did not play in at least the NCAA Play-In Game was in 2004.
