Johnson and Wan Earn All-America Accolades

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers had two players, Chelsea Johnson and Haley Wan, named Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) honorable mention All-Americans.
This is Johnson's first All-America accolade as she set career highs in goals (51), points (65), drawn ejections (52) and blocks (eight). She began the season with a hat trick vs. No. 5 Arizona State (Feb. 2), before adding consecutive hat tricks vs. Iona (Feb. 17) and Villanova (Feb. 18). She also scored twice vs. George Washington (Feb. 24) and No. 11 Loyola Marymount (Mar. 21). Johnson registered one of the biggest goals in program history, snagging the game-winning tally against No. 9 Michigan (Apr. 8) in double overtime, ending the Wolverines' 20-game winning streak. She finishes her career with 151 career goals, 137 drawn ejections, 94 steals, three All-CWPA Tournament teams and an second team all-conference honor in 2018.
One of the greatest players in Princeton women's water polo history, Wan is now a three-time All-American. Wan led the squad with 75 goals and 117 points in 2018. Her 75 goals and 42 assists are the seventh most in a single-season while her 234 career tallies are the fifth most all-time and 148 helpers are the second highest ever. The senior had 14 hat tricks this season and eight more multi-goal outings to pace Princeton's offense. One of the signature moments of Wan's career came against No. 9 Michigan (Apr. 8) as she registered six steals, two goals and three assists, helping end the Wolverines' 20-game winning streak. She was incredible during the CWPA Championships, snagging four goals each against No. 14 Indiana (Apr. 28) and No. 10 Michigan (Apr. 29).
