Princeton Has 12 Honored With Academic Accolades

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers had 12 players named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic Teams and the Collegiate Water Polo Association Scholar-Athlete team, the group announced.
The two awards honor student-athletes who have achieved grade point averages (GPA) of 3.2 or higher and competed during the season into three categories, Outstanding (3.71-4.00), Superior (3.41-3.70) and 37 Excellent (3.20-3.40). Princeton with a team GPA of 3.30 also earned an academic accolade.
Paige Thompson (Outstanding), Sarah Lawson (Superior), Sydney Cheong (Superior), Tatum Turetzky (Superior), Marissa Webb (Superior), Kasey Bersh (Superior), Lindsey Kelleher (Superior), Amy Castellano (Excellent), Haley Wan (Excellent), Eliza Britt (Excellent), Natalie Grayson (Excellent) and Maddie Pendolino (Excellent) all earned honors.
Princeton made the 2018 CWPA Championship Game, marking the sixth time in the last seven seasons it had reached the 20-win milestone. The Tigers won 12 games vs. ranked opponents and six contests vs. California teams. Princeton had one of its signature victories in program history, taking down No. 9 Michigan during the regular season, ending the Wolverines' 24-game conference streak.
