Daniels Cruises to Ivy League Record at Canadian National Championships

Rising junior Joey Daniels elevated to at the 2018 Canadian Track & Field Championships, taking down the 110-meter hurdles in an Ivy League record time of 13.70.

Racing against Canadian's two best hurdles, who are both world-ranked in the event, Jonathan Cabral and Damien Warner, Daniels took third right behind the pair.

Daniels qualified with a 13.89 in the prelims and then clocked a blistering 13.70 in the final on July 7 at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility in Ottawa.

The time bests the former Ivy record set in 2014 by Max Hairston of Cornell of 13.74. At the end of the 2018 collegiate season, Daniels was ranked third all-time in the Ivy League with a 13.80 – the best time ever run by a Princeton athlete.
