Princeton No. 5 in Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches’ Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers remain No. 5 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches' Poll, the organization announced today.

The Tigers opened up last week with a tough 5-4 loss in double overtime to No. 3 Maryland on Tuesday. In that game, Clara Roth recorded her fifth career multi-goal game, finishing with five points. Julianna Tornetta and Jane Donio-Enscoe also scored in the contest while Princeton posted three defensive saves in the loss.

On Saturday, three different Tigers, Sophia Tornetta, MaryKate Neff and Jane Donio-Enscoe, scored as Princeton dropped Dartmouth on Saturday. It was the Tigers' seventh straight victory over the Big Green.

Roth and Neff are tied for the team in points with 11. Neff's five goals led the squad while Roth has four goal and three assists. Hannah Davey's five helpers are the team-high. Grace Baylis sits with a 1.79 GAA with two shutouts.

The top five in the Coaches' Poll remained the same from the previous week as North Carolina (32 first-place votes, 1,151 points) is the No. 1 team. Connecticut had 11 first-place votes and is No. 2, followed by Maryland and Duke in front of Princeton. Harvard is the only other Ivy squad in the poll at No. 12. The Tigers' opponent on Sunday, Boston University, is No. 24.
