Fillier Named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Month

Princeton's Sarah Fillier has been named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Month for the month of December it was announced by the league office this afternoon.
Fillier led the nation's rookies in scoring and also led all ECAC skaters in points and goals during the month of December, scoring six goals and two assists for eight points in five games. She finished with a +8 on-ice rating as Princeton pushed its unbeaten streak to a program record and the nation's longest unbeaten streak.
She started the month scoring twice in a 4-1 win at Quinnipiac and had a goal and the game-winning assist at Union. She scored the Tigers' goal in a 1-1 draw with Merrimack on Sunday before scoring twice and adding an assist in a 5-3 win over the Warriors on Monday.
Fillier is fourth in the nation in scoring with 21 points in 12 games, averaging 1.75 ppg. She is second in the nation in assists per game at 1.17 apg and leads the country's rookies in scoring.
