Princeton To Travel to Penn State This Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton women's track team will participate in the Sykes and Sabock Challenge Cup hosted by Penn State on Saturday (Feb. 2).
Princeton hosted a multi-event outing on Wednesday with Kajsa Souter taking the top spot in the pentathlon.
Souter won the 60m hurdles and long jump while finishing second in the high jump and 800m to earn 3,615 points. Souter's total is the sixth most in indoor program history. Frances Lodge was second (3,448) with victories in high jump, shot put and 800m. Lindsey Schmidt secured 2,897 points and Mikaela Sawyer had 2,808.
Last week, the Tigers (91) won their fifth straight HYP contest, outscoring Harvard (60) and Yale (30) combined.
Some top performers from the HYP include Gillian Wagner winning the mile (4:46.75), Allie Klimkiewicz's personal record (9:37.64) in the 3000m, Katie DiFrancesco in the 200m (24.88), along with Emma Daugherty (1.63m), Frances Lodge and Hadley Wilhoite (1.58m) in the high jump.
The Tigers took fourth place at the Challenge Cup last season with highlights including Christina Walter and DiFrancesco qualifying for the 60m final and Ellie Randolph finishing fourth in the 60m dash.

Following the Challenge Cup, Princeton will run in the FastTrack National Invitational next Friday (Feb. 8).
