Fillier Earns ECAC Hockey Player and Rookie of the Week Honors

Princeton's Sarah Fillier led the nation in scoring this week to capture both ECAC Hockey Player and Rookie of the Week honors.
Fillier had eight points with a national best five goals and three assists. She finished with a +8 on-ice average and won 36 face offs as Princeton defeated Merrimack on Monday before a sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth. With the wins Princeton improves its streak to 16 straight, the longest in the nation and in program history.
On Monday she had a two goals and the assist on the game winner in a 5-3 victory over Merrimack. At Harvard she tallied a goal and an assist and had two goals and an assist the next afternoon at Dartmouth.
She is currently on a five-game goal scoring streak.
Fillier ranks second in the nation in scoring, averaging 1.86 points per game.
Moving up to No. 5 in the national poll this week, Princeton takes on No. 4 Cornell and No. 9 Colgate this upcoming weekend and looks to stay unbeaten in the ECAC.
