Fillier, Thompson Named to Canadian Roster for U.S. Exhibitions

Senior Claire Thompson and sophomore Sarah Fillier have been named to the 23-player Canadian roster for a pair of exhibition games against the U.S. set for Nov. 8 and 10.

The Tiger pair make up two of the six collegians on the roster. The games will be played at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pa., the training home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, at 7 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 1 p.m. on Nov. 10.

Fillier was a second-team All-America, a first-team All-ECAC and first-team All-Ivy honoree following a freshman season in which she was the NCAA's leading scorer with 22 goals and 35 assists for 57 points.

Thompson was a first-team All-ECAC and first-team All-Ivy Leaguer in 2019, scoring 28 points on nine goals and 19 assists as a defenseman.

The Tigers are set to open the season Oct. 25 and 26 at Baker Rink with a visit from Syracuse. The full Canadian roster is available here.
