Princeton Battles the Best at Nuttycombe Invite

Results
The Princeton men's cross country team took on the highly competitive Nuttycombe Invitational today in Madison, Wisconsin. The Tigers were one of 20 nationally ranked teams to compete in the meet, and one of 33 total teams on the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course.
The Tigers, ranked 23rd in the national poll, finished 17th with 478 points. No. 1 ranked Northern Arizona claimed the team title on the 8k course.
Senior Conor Lundy led the way for the Orange & Black crossing the tape first at 24:05.8 for 31st place. Junior Matt Grossman wasn't far behind in 40th place at 24:09.8. Both were first-team All-Ivy League and all-region runners one year ago and are expected to continue to lead the Tigers through championship season.
Sophomore Jakob Kintzele put up a 24:48.0 as the third scorer, while freshman Connor Nisbet clocked 24:54.4. Senior Viraj Deokar was the final scorer at 24:55.6. Bringing up the sixth and seventh positions was freshman Camren Fischer at 25:04.6 and senior Eli Krahn at 25:14.2.
The squad hosts the Princeton Invitational tomorrow at West Windsor Fields. The men's 8k race is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. It marks the final race before championship season.
The reigning Ivy League champions look to defend the conference title on Friday, Nov. 1 at Van Cortlandt Park in New York. The Tigers have won the last two Ivy Heps and aim for its 21st in two weeks in the Bronx.
