Maloney and Quinones Pick Up NWPC Weekly Accolades as No. 18 Princeton Preps For Conference Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 18 Princeton Tigers had Keller Maloney (Offensive Player) and Yurian Quinones (Rookie) earn Northeast Water Polo Conference weekly accolades.
Maloney is scored in each of the team's four games in the MPSF Invitational, snagging six tallies including multi-goal performances vs. Air Force and Pomona-Pitzer. He added seven helpers including four against Air Force, a 12-10 victory. Maloney drew eight ejections over the weekend highlighted by three vs. Pomona-Pitzer. The sophomore leads the team in scoring with 20 goals and 19 assists and is the only player on the squad with at least 10 goals, 10 assists, 10 steals and 10 drawn ejections.
Quinones had seven goals and an assist in the Tigers' four games this weekend. He posted two tallies vs. No. 5 USC, along with a hat trick vs. Air Force. He also three steals and three drawn ejections. The freshman dropped in two more goals vs. Pomona-Pitzer in a loss. The freshman has a team-best 22 goals this year on 46 shots, producing a .478 shooting percentage.
The top five in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Varsity Poll shifted around this week with Stanford, UCLA, Pacific and UC-Santa Barbara all moving around with USC at No. 5. Harvard (No. 12) and St. Francis-Brooklyn (No. 17) are the only other NWPC squads in the poll.
