Bosancic, Poling to Compete in ITF M25 Naples

Freshman Thomas Bosancic and sophomore Karl Poling will open competition Sunday at the ITF M25 event in Naples, Fla., in the qualifying singles draw.

Forty-eight players are competing for 16 main-draw spots, meaning players will have to win three matches to advance.

Bosancic will open at 10 a.m. against Nama Heman of India, while Poling will start against fourth-seeded and Michigan alum Alexander Knight in the second match on after play begins at 10.

Florida junior Oliver Crawford, holding the top seed, is in Bosancic's portion of the draw, with seventh-seeded Jordan Parker is the other seeded player among the seven with which Bosancic will have to compete for the main-draw spot. Eighth-seeded Spaniard Alejandro Moro Canas is also in Poling's portioon of the draw.

Poling, ranked 73rd in the nation by the ITA, is 7-3 in singles this fall, and Bosancic is 1-1.
