Harris of Women's Volleyball Honored as Ivy & GPT Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its weekly awards Monday afternoon and senior Jessie Harris of the Princeton University women's volleyball team was honored as its Player of the Week. She was also named GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week, presented by Coach USA.

Princeton, who is 11-1 in conference play and has won nine straight matches, went 2-0 without dropping a set last week and Harris played a pivotal role as she accumulated 83 assists and had a 13.83 assist per set average. She also had 16 kills and nine digs. With an assists per set average of 11.67 Harris currently leads the Ivy League and is ranked fourth in the nation.

In the Tigers' 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-23) win over Dartmouth College on Friday, November 8 inside Jadwin Gymnasium Harris led the match with 40 assists and has also eight digs along with six kills.

On Saturday, November 9 Princeton hosted Harvard University and overcame the Crimson 3-0 (25-22, 25-11, 25-22). Harris finished with a match-high 43 kills and eight digs.

Harris and the Tigers are in action next on Friday, November 15 at 7 p.m. against Brown University (13-9, 5-7) in Providence, Rhode Island.
