Make it five wins in a row for the eighth-ranked Princeton women's hockey team, with the Tigers' latest weekend sweep including a win over No. 5/5 Clarkson Friday night during the Black Out Baker event.
With the wins, Princeton improves to 9-2 overall and 7-2 in the ECAC Hockey League, with the 14 points putting the Tigers at the top of the standings by three points over Cornell. League play will resume Dec. 6 with the Big Red coming to Princeton.
The weekend saw the Tigers' leading scorer, both on the season and among active Tigers, senior Carly Bullock, score twice to reach 75 goals in her career, moving her into a tie for the 10th-most goals in program history. Sophomore Sarah Fillier scored a team-best three times on the weekend, including both goals in the 2-1 win over Clarkson, to give her seven goals on the season. Bullock and Fillier have combined for 17 of the team's 35 goals on the season after combining for 43 last year, and junior Sharon Frankel has already surpassed her season-best total with two goals Saturday to reach six on the season. Her previous best was five as a rookie.
