Princeton Easily Disposes SFC-Brooklyn, 76-44

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers never trailed, easily disposing the St. Francis-Brooklyn Terriers, 76-44, at Jadwin Gym.

Ellie Mitchell registered her first career double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds including eight offensive caroms. Her point and rebound totals were season best marks. Abby Meyers had 17 points off the bench in the victory.

The Tigers ran off the first 13 points of the game, forcing the Terriers to miss their first five shots of the contest. St. Francis-Brooklyn's first basket came at the 3:51 mark of the quarter while Princeton took a 19-9 lead into the second stanza.

Head coach Carla Berube's unit extended its advantage with 15 of the first 17 points of the second frame, extending its lead to 25, 34-11, with 3:45 remaining. The Tigers led by 24 at the intermission, 42-18, and were never threatened.

Princeton scored 23 points off of 23 turnovers and registered 38 points in the paint. The team's 53 rebounds were a season high as were its 18 swipes. 10 different players scored in the game for the Tigers.

The Tigers improve 6-1 overall while the Terries fell to 2-5. Princeton heads on the road next Saturday (Dec. 7) to take on Marist. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
