No. 14 Princeton Heads To Villanova Saturday

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 14 Princeton Tigers take on the Villanova Wildcats on the road this Saturday (12 p.m.).
The Tigers are currently on a three-game winning streak, taking down CSU-Monterey Bay (17-6) in California along with Iona (17-7) and St. Francis-Brooklyn (14-6) at the Princeton Invitational. Head coach Derek Elllingson's team also has a win over No. 25 Azusa Pacific.
Lindsey Kelleher leads the team in scoring with eight goals and team-best 16 assists (24 points). Amy Castellano (12), Eliza Britt (10) and Laura Larkin (10) each have 10 goals to pace the Tigers' offense.
Princeton has won 36 straight matches vs. Villanova, dating back to 1998. The Tigers defeated the Wildcats at the Princeton Invitational last season, 13-3. Chelsea Johnson and Kelleher recorded hat tricks in the victory.
The top five in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Varsity Poll remains the same as the previous week as USC remains No. 1. Stanford, UCLA, Cal., and Hawaii round out the five. Michigan is No. 6 as the top CWPA squad.
Ellingson's group heads on the road again next week to battle LaSalle (Feb. 22) before taking part in the Marist Invitational (Feb. 23-24).
