Castellano Has Career Day as Princeton Drops Villanova, 15-7

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Laura Larkin and Amy Castellano combined for eight goals as the No. 14 Princeton Tigers dropped the Villanova Wildcats, 15-7, at the Pavilion Swim Center on Saturday afternoon.
Castellano finished with nine points in the game as her five assists set a new career high and are tied for the fifth most in a game in program history.
Princeton recorded a shutout for the first 12:04 of game action, securing the first five goals. The Tigers held a 7-1 lead at halftime. Head coach Derek Ellingson's team kept Villanova at bay, posting four more tallies in the third quarter, taking a 11-3 lead after 24 minutes. The Wildcats never got within striking distance as the Tigers picked up their fourth straight victory.
Ellingson's squad will take on LaSalle on the road next Friday (Feb. 22, 7 p.m.) before taking part in the Marist Invitational (Feb. 23-24).
