Princeton Sits Fifth After Day One of Ivy Heps

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Princeton women's track and field squad sits fifth after the first day of Ivy Heps.
Princeton picked up 12 points in the 3,000m contest as Madison Offstein (9:30.61) placed third, Gillian Wagner (9:34.60) fourth and Peyton Brown (9:35.61) fifth. Brown's time was a personal-best.
Hanne Borstlap earned a second-place mark in the pole vault (3.91m). She just missed the title as Dartmouth's Julia Valenti cleared 3.91 in her first attempt while Borstlap did it on her second try.
Kajsa Souter won the 60m hurdles event for the pentathlon with a score of 8.82. She also placed third in the shot put (10.21m) as did Frances Lodge in the 800m (2:22.18). Souter finished the pentathlon fifth (3,531), giving the Tigers two points. Lodge snagged a point for Princeton with a sixth-place total (3,495).
Ellie Randolph (8.51) and Isabella Hilditch (8.52) had two of the greatest runs in program history in the 60m hurdles preliminary runs. Hilditch was second in her heat while Randolph was third.
Katie DiFrancesco qualified for the 200m final with a 24.92. Sophie Cantine posted the best time for Princeton in the mile preliminaries, placing third in her heat (4:50.01). Alie Fordyce won her heat with a 4:51.04 and Laura Hergenrother (4:55.46) to also qualify for the final.
Allison Glossinger posted the sixth fastest mark ever for a Tiger (1:14.15) in the 500m preliminaries. She'll run in the finals on Sunday. Jackie Berardo also made the 800m final (2:11.60). Anna Jurew (2:49.46) and Fordyce (2:50.57) made the 1000m final tomorrow.
Dartmouth is in first place (37) after today's events, followed by Penn and Cornell (28) while Brown is fourth (26). The final day of Ivy Heps gets started at 10 a.m. The ESPN+ stream will start at 12:30 p.m.
